William Rudebeck

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Will co-founded Bite in 2018 having previously co-founded VCP Advisors (now VCP Apex), in 2009. In 2019, Will stepped down as CEO to become Co-Chairman of VCP Apex and CEO of Bite. Before founding VCP, Will specialised in investment banking within the financial institutions group at HSBC, Grisons Peak and Danske Bank.

Henry Talbot-Ponsonby
Co-Founder, President
Henry co-founded Bite in 2018 having previously co-founded VCP Advisors (now VCP Apex), in 2009. In 2021, Henry stepped down as CEO to become Co-Chairman of VCP Apex and President of Bite. Henry also sits on the Investment Committee of Bite Asset Management. Henry began his career in law, working as a Barrister in London, before joining Grisons Peak, a financial institutions focused investment banking firm.
Farah Esmail
Chief People Officer

Farah joined Bite after having previously worked at VCP Apex. In her role at Bite, Farah seeks to ensure that individuals are valued for their contributions and that the company culture is supportive to its employees and allows them to thrive.  Having been with the firm since its inception, Farah also provides operational support to the business as it scales. Farah has over 15 years’ experience working in financial services and has previously worked for Skyline Capital Management, DVB Bank and Hawkpoint Partners in a variety of operational roles.

Henry Reynolds
Chief Operating Officer

Based in the London office, Henry leads multiple aspects of Bite, including operations. As part of his role, Henry is responsible for directing multiple teams to successfully meet the firm’s strategic ambitions. Henry joined from VCP Apex, where he was a Managing Director, covering European capital raising. Prior to this, Henry worked for TMF Group where he held a number of senior roles, including Chief of Staff. Before joining TMF, Henry qualified as an accountant at PWC, having spent four years in the British army, leaving as a captain.

Anna Hellstrand
Chief Marketing Officer

Based in the London office, Anna plans and oversees the company’s global brand expansion, communications, and promotion strategies. Anna has extensive experience developing impactful marketing campaigns to fuel high growth businesses. Prior to joining Bite, she was a director at strategic communications firm Kreab, where she advised European fintech companies, investors and financial services firms on communications and public affairs issues. She is also a former Political Advisor and Head of PR for the Moderate Party in Malmoe, Sweden. In addition to this, she has lived and worked in Sweden, Germany, and the UK.

Tom Hamilton
Chief Information Officer

Tom is based in the London office and leads the firm’s management, implementation and usability of information technology and computer systems. Tom has been focused on shaping architectural governance and frameworks to enable larger scale teams to delivery more quickly whilst ensuring highest standards and frameworks. He joined Bite from GPG, where he was the Head of Architecture for the European Energy Trading Organisation. He has over 20 years’ experience of senior leadership and IT roles building business solutions across an extensive list of Blue-Chip organizations including JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, ABN Amro, BP and BJSS.

Charlie von Moll

Head of Bite Stream

Charlie joined Bite from the $35B alternative asset manager Davidson Kempner Capital Management, where he spent almost a decade running multi asset trading for Asia, focussing on corporate M&A, private credit, distressed credit and high yield trading, throughout the region. Before that Charlie was at Odey Asset Management in London, trading on the highly successful flagship global multi-strategy hedge fund, where they were one of the top performing hedge funds globally throughout the turbulent financial crisis years. Charlie started his career at HSBC in London on the equity finance desk.
Alex Seymour
Chief Legal Officer

Based in the London office, Alex is responsible for all legal matters at Bite, including debt and equity fund raising, corporate M&A, software licensing, funds placement / distribution and general corporate and commercial activities. Alex joined Bite in 2022 from JP Morgan where he ran transaction management for the EMEA and APAC real estate finance desk. Alex has over 20 years’ experience in financial services having previously worked for Cheyne Capital, Deutsche Pfandbriefbank and Clifford Chance. Alex holds a law degree from the University of Oxford and is a qualified solicitor.

Risi Bello
Head of Product

Risi leads Bite’s product team and is based in the London office. Risi is an experienced and dedicated product specialist with a passion for human-centered solutions and design. In her role at Bite, she is responsible for ensuring Bite Stream satisfies the needs and business objectives of its users. Risi started her career as a data analyst, and quickly transitioned into roles which allowed her to utilize data analysis for business change and improvement. During her career, she has led award-winning platform transformations within specialist finance organizations and driven product improvements that consistently save its users time and money.

Benjamin Zhang
Chief Technology Officer

Based in the London office, Benjamin is responsible for overseeing technology team management, architecting comprehensive systems, leading technology strategies, directing project delivery, and spearheading innovation initiatives. Prior to joining Bite, Benjamin founded Ten Maker Technology and Nutshell Technology, building financial technology for numerous companies, including leading alternative investment manager Pantheon Asset. Before founding his companies, he was Product and Project Director at Suning.com, one of the largest online retailers in China where he led a team of 200 developers.

Mark Cottenham
Head of Operations

Mark is leading Bite’s ventures in Asia and is based in the Singapore office. Mark joined Bite from VCP Apex where he previously served as Director. Mark began his career at Morgan Stanley in London, before moving to Asia in 2010. Prior to VCP Apex, Mark was the General Manager of Times Education, Partner of Bridging the Gap China and Deputy Secretary General of the China Kunming Finance and Logistics Association. Mark started his career in the prime brokerage department at Morgan Stanley in London. 

Anna Baráth

Chief Investment Officer

Anna is based in London and leads the firm’s fund sourcing, selection, and diligence activities. Anna joined from KIC, the $190bn sovereign wealth fund of South Korea, where she was a Senior Investment Manager. Prior to KIC, she worked in the Private Markets team of the £80bn Universities Superannuation Scheme. Her experience in private markets spans nearly a decade, during which she worked on combined capital commitments of $4.5bn, with 50+ fund and co-investment deals completed in private equity, credit, infrastructure, and real estate. Anna is a CFA charter holder, having degrees in finance, business, and economics.

Vicky Mao
Managing Partner

Vicky (Xiaotian) Mao is based in London and leads Bite’s global co-investments. Vicky joined from placement agent VCP Apex where she worked both in London and in Shanghai. She helped open and build out VCP Apex’s Asia presence business on the ground. Before VCP Apex, Vicky worked in investment banking for Standard Bank in Hong Kong having previously spent several years in audit as a Certified Public Accountant at PwC. Vicky has an MBA from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Justin Mason
Justin Mason

Managing Director

Justin joined Bite’s Hong Kong office to strengthen partnerships throughout Asia. Prior to this, Justin was a senior client partnership manager across the wealth management industry at La Trobe Financial, a Brookfield subsidiary.  Justin has a career spanning over 25 years, where he has held several senior management roles, located across North America, Europe and Asia, focusing on the build out of sales and business development initiatives. Justin began his career at Lehman Brothers in London where he was a Director of the Pan European Equity Sales team (institutional stock broking).

Mark Jennings

Head of Capital Introductions

Mark is based in the New York office and is in charge of global capital introductions. Mark joined Bite from placement agent VCP Apex. Mark brings over 20 years of industry experience, serving institutions, affluent families and successful businesses in both New York and Bermuda. Mark has previously held positions in capital raising, high net worth client advisory, portfolio management and trading at Morgan Stanley, LOM Securities, Blackstone subsidiary GSO Capital, JP Morgan’s Highbridge Capital Management and Alliance Bernstein.

Blake Morrissy
Blake Morrissy

Head of Finance

Blake leads Bite’s finance function and is based in the London office. He is responsible for overseeing financial strategies and managing corporate development activities of the Group. Blake joined Bite with international experience in SaaS, having worked with emerging growth companies in New York and San Francisco. Prior to this, Blake worked for PwC, dealing with private clients in their Australian and Canadian offices. Blake holds a BCom from Deakin University, Australia and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.

Eran Fabian

Managing Director

Eran runs enterprise sales and partnerships for the Americas from Bite’s New York office. He has vast experience in business development across private markets with a specialized focus on technology and operations. He joined Bite from Broadridge, a global fintech leader across capital markets, wealth, and investment management, where he was a Senior Director for Hedge Fund sales. Prior to that, he held senior sales roles for SS&C Technologies, Gravitas Technologies (now Linedata), and SunGard (now FIS) with a specific focus on the alternative investments space.

Managing Director

Didier joined Bite’s London office to help further expand the tech sales business across the EMEA region. Didier began his professional career as an Investment Banker at Barclays in London, on the M&A team in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG). During this time, he worked on transactions across Europe as well as the Middle East. Following his passion for Fintech, he then moved to SS&C Intralinks, a leading SaaS provider, where he progressed rapidly to ultimately head up their Europe, Middle East, and Africa (“EMEA”) Investment Banking Division before joining Bite in 2023.

Max Fenn
Managing Director

Max is based in Bite’s Hong Kong office and leads the client relationship practise. Prior to Bite, Max was focusing on fundraising and deal origination across the ESG and impact ecosystem, as well as developing technology transfer links and co-investment strategies with government agencies, impact investors and accelerators in Asia. During his career, Max set up a wealth management recruitment agency in Hong Kong in 2012, a financial services consultancy in Malaysia servicing FTSE 100 companies, financial advisory firms and family offices on recruitment as well as distribution of alternative investments in private equity, infrastructure and venture capital.

Sam Wright

Managing Director

Sam joined Bite’s New York office from Vise AI; a leading AI driven investment management firm in the wealth advisory sector. At Bite, Sam oversees the relationship management division in the US, tasked with growing existing client and strategic partner relationships. Sam has spent more than a decade working across both the asset management and technology sectors, starting his career at Dimensional Fund Advisors, a $500bn+ AUM, US headquartered asset management firm. Prior to this, Sam spent several years working at Deutsche Bank Asset Management (now DWS).

Harriet Barlow
Head of Client Solutions
Harriet joined Bite’s London office to lead the client service function, responsible for managing all client-related matters. She joined Bite from Schroders Investment Management where she spent 4 years managing the Derivative Onboarding team. Prior to this, she worked for JDX Consulting where she was placed on various projects involving legal, product support and fintech. Her longest placement was at OpenText, working on their SaaS contract analysis tool. Harriet also has legal experience through voluntary pro-bono work whilst studying her Law Degree and the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University.
Margarita Kouklaki Ntourou

Managing Director

Margarita is based in Bite’s London office and works across communications and PR. Prior to Bite, Margarita was a consultant at Lansons, where she provided strategic counsel on reputation, media relations, corporate communications, community engagement projects and campaigns to clients spanning the asset management, banking and fintech sectors. Her extensive client portfolio included players such as BlackRock, Societe Generale, The Royal Mint, Allianz, and Capital Group. Margarita actively volunteers for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), serving on the committee of the CIPR International group and became a CIPR Accredited PR Practitioner in 2021.

Hugo Van Vredenburch

Hugo is Chairman of Fauna & Flora International. The world’s oldest international conservation charity. He was previously chairman of Interactive Investor and CEO of the TMF Group. Earlier in his career, Hugo was a Partner at Goldman Sachs and held a variety of roles including co-heading the equity franchise in Europe, Japan and Global COO of the equity division.

Kristen Dickey

Kristen had a distinguished 20+ year career with BlackRock Inc, where she served as a Managing Director and member of the Global Operating Committee for the firm. Kristen is the managing partner and investor for a family office fund, Seaview Capital, LLC. She currently sits on the corporate boards for BNY Mellon Investment Management ETF Trust, where she is one of the founding Trustees; Marstone Inc., a digital wealth platform in New York; and Aperture Investors LLC, an investment management firm delivering active management with performance-linked fees. She also sits on the advisory boards for Girls Who Invest and the Council for Economic Education. She is a member of the Board Trustees for Friends of the Highline and chairs the Investment Committee for their endowment.

Todd Ruppert

Todd has over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. He retired from T. Rowe Price, the global asset management firm with over $1.5 trillion under management, where he was CEO and president of T. Rowe Price Global Investment Services, co-president, T. Rowe Price International, and a member of the operating steering committee of the T. Rowe Price Group. He also retired from Greenspring Associates, a $17 billion venture capital firm, where he was a venture partner. Todd is currently the founder and CEO of Ruppert International, a firm with diversified interests globally in various fields including education, financial services, disruptive technologies, publishing, arts & entertainment, and strategy consulting.

Devin Ryan

Devin serves as Director of Financial Technology Research for JMP Securities, a Citizens Company. In his over 20-years on Wall Street, Devin has become a leading voice in the industry at the intersection of financial services and technology innovation. He is frequently featured in the financial media in addition to speaking regularly at industry conferences and events. Previously, Devin was a Managing Director at Sandler O’Neill, where he was a three-time winner of the top spot in his sector in an annual ranking of all U.S. equity research analysts conducted by StarMine. He began his Wall Street career in the institutional investor group at Citigroup.

Harry Moseley

Harry most recently retired as the  Global Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Zoom which he joined in 2018, where he oversaw a dramatic period of growth. With over 45 years of experience in technology, Harry has held several senior leadership positions across the financial, technology and alternative asset management industries. At Blackstone he served as both CIO and Partner, where he led the company’s transformation into the world’s leading digital alternative asset manager. He has also served as CIO for KPMG US, CIO of Global Investment Banking/Co-CIO for Credit Suisse First Boston, and Chief Technology Officer for UBS Americas. Currently, Harry is a Senior Advisor to the Deutsche Börse and Roam (ro.am), a member of the Stripes (stripes.co) CIO Council, a Board Member of Rewards Network, and a Board Trustee of the NY Metro Region for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Harry has been inducted into CIO Magazine’s Hall of Fame, recognized as one of the world’s top 100 CIOs by Computerworld, twice honored by Irish Magazine as one of its Annual Wall Street 50, was a 2022 Irish America Business 100 Honoree, and awarded the 2022 CIO and IT Leader of the Year award for the Private Sector. Harry graduated from Trinity College Dublin with degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering.

Dr. Renu Bhatia

Renu is an accomplished senior executive with over 25 years of experience in the finance, fintech and health care sectors. She is currently the Chairman of the Listing Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Chairman and Co-Founder of Opharmic Technology. She has also served on a number of boards/advisory groups including the Board of Review of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Ordinance, the Hong Kong Enterprise Support Scheme Assessment Panel of the Innovation and Technology Fund, the Hong Kong Baptist University Business School and the Cyberport Entrepreneurship Centre Advisory Group. She started her career in finance at Goldman Sachs and HSBC Asset Management and was a leader in the finch space in Hong Kong having Co-Founded Asia Fintech Angels and as a Founding Partner of Supercharger, a dedicated finch accelerator. She is a licensed physician and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Yale University, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of London.
