William Rudebeck

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Will co-founded Bite in 2018 having previously co-founded VCP Advisors (now VCP Apex), in 2009. In 2019, Will stepped down as CEO to become Co-Chairman of VCP Apex and CEO of Bite. Before founding VCP, Will specialised in investment banking within the financial institutions group at HSBC, Grisons Peak and Danske Bank.

Henry Talbot-Ponsonby
Co-Founder, President
Henry co-founded Bite in 2018 having previously co-founded VCP Advisors (now VCP Apex), in 2009. In 2021, Henry stepped down as CEO to become Co-Chairman of VCP Apex and President of Bite. Henry also sits on the Investment Committee of Bite Asset Management. Henry began his career in law, working as a Barrister in London, before joining Grisons Peak, a financial institutions focused investment banking firm.
Farah Esmail
Chief People Officer
Farah joined the VCP Apex in 2016 and is now Bite’s Chief People Officer. Farah has over 15 years’ experience working in financial services and has previously worked for Skyline Capital Management, DVB Bank and Hawkpoint Partners in a variety of operational roles. She has a Modern Languages degree from Bristol University.
Henry Reynolds
Chief Operating Officer
Henry is Chief Operating Officer for Bite, having joined from VCP Apex. Previously Henry worked for TMF Group where he held a number of senior roles, including Chief of Staff. Before joining TMF, Henry qualified as an accountant at PWC, having spent four years in the British army leaving as a captain. Henry graduated from the University of Bristol.
Anna Hellstrand
Chief Marketing Officer

Anna is Bite’s Chief Marketing Officer and is based in the London office. Prior to this, she spent five years working for strategic communications firm Kreab, where she advised clients including prominent European fintech companies, investors and financial services firms on communications and public affairs issues. She is also a former Political Advisor and Head of PR for the Moderate Party in Malmoe, Sweden. In addition to this, she has lived and worked in Sweden, Germany and the UK. Anna holds a BSc in Media and Communication from Lund University, Sweden.

Mark Jennings

Head of Capital Introductions

Mark is Head of Capital Introductions for Bite, having joined from VCP Apex. Mark brings over 20 years of industry experience, having previously held positions in capital raising, high net worth client advisory, portfolio management and trading at Morgan Stanley, LOM Securities, The Blackstone Group / GSO Capital and Alliance Bernstein.

Benjamin Zhang
Chief Technology Officer
Benjamin is the Chief Technology Officer of Bite and is located in Nanjing, China. Previously Benjamin Founded Ten Maker Technology and Nutshell Technology, building financial technology for numerous companies, including leading alternative investment manager Pantheon Asset. Before founding Ten Maker and Nutshell, he was Product and Project Director at Suning.com, one of the largest online retailers in China where he led a team of 200 developers.
Tom Hamilton
Chief Information Officer
Tom is Bite’s Chief Information Officer and is based in the London office. He joined Bite from GPG where he was the Head of Architecture for the European Energy Trading Organisation. He has over 20 years’ experience of senior IT roles across an extensive list of Blue Chip organisations including JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, ABN Amro, BP and BJSS.
Anna Baráth
Head of Fund Investments

Anna is the Head of Fund Investments of Bite, based in London. She joined Bite in 2021 from KIC, the $170bn sovereign wealth fund of South Korea, where she was a Senior Investment Manager allocating to private equity and credit across funds and co-investments. Prior to KIC, she worked in the Private Markets team of the £80bn Universities Superannuation Scheme. Her experience in private markets spans nearly a decade, during which she worked on combined capital commitments of $4.5bn, with 50+ fund and co-investment deals completed in private equity, credit, infrastructure and real estate. At Bite, Anna leads the fund sourcing, selection and diligence activities of Bite. A British and Hungarian national, Anna holds an MA in Finance from IE Business School and a BA in International Business Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest. She is a CFA charter holder. In 2023, Anna was named as one of Private Equity International’s Women of Influence in private markets, a list recognising female leaders within the industry.

Charlie von Moll

Head of Bite Stream

Charlie joined Bite from the $35B alternative asset manager Davidson Kempner Capital Management, where he spent almost a decade running multi asset trading for Asia, focussing on corporate M&A, private credit, distressed credit and high yield trading, throughout the region. Before that Charlie was at Odey Asset Management in London, trading on the highly successful flagship global multi-strategy hedge fund, where they were one of the top performing hedge funds globally throughout the turbulent financial crisis years. Charlie started his career at HSBC in London on the equity finance desk.
Vicky Mao
Head of Direct Investments

Vicky (Xiaotian) Mao is Bite’s Head of Direct Investments and is based in Bite’s Shanghai office. Vicky joined Bite in 2019 from VCP Apex, where she rose to Managing Director and Partner and in 2017 moved from London to Shanghai to open and build out VCP Apex’s China business. Before VCP Apex, Vicky worked for Standard Bank in Hong Kong having previously spent a number of years at PwC. She has an MBA from Said Business School, University of Oxford.

Mark Cottenham
Head of Operations
Mark leads Bite’s Operations in China and is based in Shanghai. Mark joined BITE from VCP Apex where he previously served as Director. Mark began his career at Morgan Stanley in London, UK, before moving to China in 2010. Prior to VCP Apex, Mark was the General Manager of Times Education, Partner of Bridging the Gap China and Deputy Secretary General of the China Kunming Finance and Logistics Association.
Max Fenn
Managing Director

Max set up a wealth management recruitment agency in Hong Kong in 2012 working with financial intermediaries across Asia, US and Europe. He moved to Malaysia to open a financial services consultancy servicing FTSE 100 companies, financial advisory firms and family offices on recruitment as well as distribution of alternative investments in private equity, infrastructure and venture capital. Prior to joining Bite, Max was focusing on fundraising and deal origination across the ESG and impact investing ecosystem, as well as developing technology transfer links and co-investment strategies with government agencies, impact investors and accelerators in Asia.

Mel Ghadban
Managing Director
Mel is a Managing Director of Bite and leads our Singapore office. Mel has joined Bite from Oreana Wealth Management Singapore where he was the CEO. Mel brings over 20 years of experience to the business in Wealth, Consulting, and Funds Management with networks across Australia, Asia and the Middle East. Commencing his career as a financial adviser with Westpac Banking Corporation, Mel then worked with BT Wealth and Macquarie Wealth Management as part of their management teams.
Alex Seymour
Chief Legal Officer
Alex is Bite’s General Counsel and is based in the London office. He joined Bite in 2022 from JP Morgan where he ran transaction management for the EMEA and APAC real estate finance desk. He has over 20 years’ experience in financial services having previously worked for Cheyne Capital, Deutsche Pfandbriefbank and Clifford Chance. Alex holds a law degree from the University of Oxford and is a qualified solicitor.
Justin Mason
Justin Mason

Global Head of Sales

Justin joined Bite Investments from the Blackstone subsidiary La Trobe Financial, a $14bn private credit asset manager (whom was recently sold to Brookfield Asset Management in March 2022). Justin was a senior manager of client partnerships across the wealth management industry. Justin has a career spanning 20+ years, where he has held several senior management roles, located across North America, Europe and Asia, focusing on the build out of sales and business development initiatives. Justin began his career at Lehman Brothers in 1998, where he was a Director of the Pan European Equity Sales team.
Hugh Carnegie
Head of Client Solutions
Hugh is Head of Client Solutions at Bite and is based in the London Office. Hugh joined Bite from British Chamber of Commerce in China where he worked with members to deliver events. Prior to working at the British Chamber of Commerce, Hugh studied at several of the world’s top universities; Tsinghua University, University of Edinburgh, and University of Texas at Austin.
Sean Rogers

Director of Technology Sales

Sean has worked for leading financial institutions, straddling both the alternative asset management and financial technology sectors. Sean joined Bite from Datasite, a leading SaaS provider (recently acquired by CapVest) and before that he worked at Preqin, the leading provider of data, analytics, and insights to the alternative asset management industry. Sean began his career at IHS Markit (now merged with NYSE listed S&P Global).

Eran Fabian
Director of Technology Sales
Eran joins Bite as Director of Technology Sales for the Americas from Broadridge, a global fintech leader across capital markets, wealth, and investment management. Prior to that, he held senior sales roles for SS&C, Gravitas Technologies (now Linedata), and SunGard (now FIS) with a specific focus in the alternative investments space. Eran holds a B.S. in Finance & Accounting from Florida State University.
Sam Wright
Director of Technology Sales

Sam joined Bite from Vise AI, a leading asset management based fintech firm in the wealth advisory sector. Sam began his career at Dimensional Fund Advisors, a $500bn+ AUM, US headquartered asset management firm. Before joining Dimensional, Sam spent several years working at Deutsche Asset Management. Sam has spent more than the last decade working across both the asset management and technology sectors and is based out of Bite’s New York office.

Didier Lambriex
Director of Technology Sales

Didier began his professional career at Barclays in London, on the M&A team in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG). Following his passion for Fintech, he then moved to SS&C Intralinks, a leading SaaS provider, where he progressed rapidly to ultimately head up their Europe, Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”) Investment Banking Division before joining Bite in 2023. Didier joined Bite to help further expand the business across the EMEA region and is based in London.

Head of Product

Risi is an experienced and dedicated product specialist with a passion for human-centered solutions and design. Risi joins Bite as Head of Product after leading award-winning platform transformations within specialist finance organisations.

Zoe Chen
Head of Online Operations

Zoe is Bite’s Head of Online Operations and is based in Shanghai, having joined from Huxin Finance where she was Operation Director. Previously, Zoe was responsible for online marketing at Lead Fund. She has an MBA from Shanghai Jiaotong University.

Margarita Kouklaki Ntourou
Communications Manager

Margarita is Bite’s Communications Manager. Prior to this, she was at Lansons, working within the financial services industry, advising clients from asset management to banks and fintechs. For her work at Lansons, she was shortlisted for Headlinemoney’s 2022 Rising Star PR Professional of the Year award. Margarita holds an MA (with distinction) in International PR and Global Communications Management and a BA in Journalism from Cardiff University. A volunteer for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), she sits on the committee of one of its largest sectoral groups, CIPR International, and has been a CIPR Accredited PR Practitioner since 2021.

Simon Ecclefield
Investment Director (Investment Committee Member)
Simon sits on Bite’s investment committee and is based in the Cayman Islands. Simon has worked in global markets for over 36 years, beginning his career at Kleinwort Benson in 1976 and then moved to Morgan Grenfell in New York. Following positions at BZW, Robert Fleming and Alex Brown, he was approached to help set up Collins Stewart in New York, helping grow the team from 7 to over 100 people. Simon led the Global Sales Trading desk at JP Morgan Cazenove from 2008 until 2014, when he left to take up a limited number of non-executive directorships.

Hugo Van Vredenburch

Hugo is Chairman of Fauna & Flora International. The world’s oldest international conservation charity. He was previously chairman of Interactive Investor and CEO of the TMF Group. Earlier in his career, Hugo was a Partner at Goldman Sachs and held a variety of roles including co-heading the equity franchise in Europe, Japan and Global COO of the equity division.

Gareth Barr

Gareth has 30+ years of cross-sector international experience, leading technology organizations and driving transformations in roles including CTO at KPMG LLP and Global Head of Engineering for The Blackstone Group. He is currently the Head of Digital Workflows Platform Solutions at JP Morgan is the founder of Oakland East LLC, a boutique advisory and consulting practice; as well as a mentor, thought leader, and contributing author to the National CIO Review.

Kristen Dickey

Kristen had a distinguished 20+ year career with BlackRock Inc, where she served as a Managing Director and member of the Global Operating Committee for the firm. Kristen is the managing partner and investor for a family office fund, Seaview Capital, LLC. She currently sits on the corporate boards for BNY Mellon Investment Management ETF Trust, where she is one of the founding Trustees; Marstone Inc., a digital wealth platform in New York; and Aperture Investors LLC, an investment management firm delivering active management with performance-linked fees. She also sits on the advisory boards for Girls Who Invest and the Council for Economic Education. She is a member of the Board Trustees for Friends of the Highline and chairs the Investment Committee for their endowment.

Todd Ruppert

Todd has over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. He retired from T. Rowe Price, the global asset management firm with over $1.5 trillion under management, where he was CEO and president of T. Rowe Price Global Investment Services, co-president, T. Rowe Price International, and a member of the operating steering committee of the T. Rowe Price Group. He also retired from Greenspring Associates, a $17 billion venture capital firm, where he was a venture partner. Todd is currently the founder and CEO of Ruppert International, a firm with diversified interests globally in various fields including education, financial services, disruptive technologies, publishing, arts & entertainment, and strategy consulting.

Devin Ryan

Devin serves as Director of Financial Technology Research for JMP Securities, a Citizens Company. In his over 20-years on Wall Street, Devin has become a leading voice in the industry at the intersection of financial services and technology innovation. He is frequently featured in the financial media in addition to speaking regularly at industry conferences and events. Previously, Devin was a Managing Director at Sandler O’Neill, where he was a three-time winner of the top spot in his sector in an annual ranking of all U.S. equity research analysts conducted by StarMine. He began his Wall Street career in the institutional investor group at Citigroup.

Harry Moseley

Harry most recently retired as the  Global Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Zoom which he joined in 2018, where he oversaw a dramatic period of growth. With over 45 years of experience in technology, Harry has held several senior leadership positions across the financial, technology and alternative asset management industries. At Blackstone he served as both CIO and Partner, where he led the company’s transformation into the world’s leading digital alternative asset manager. He has also served as CIO for KPMG US, CIO of Global Investment Banking/Co-CIO for Credit Suisse First Boston, and Chief Technology Officer for UBS Americas. Currently, Harry is a Senior Advisor to the Deutsche Börse and Roam (ro.am), a member of the Stripes (stripes.co) CIO Council, a Board Member of Rewards Network, and a Board Trustee of the NY Metro Region for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Harry has been inducted into CIO Magazine’s Hall of Fame, recognized as one of the world’s top 100 CIOs by Computerworld, twice honored by Irish Magazine as one of its Annual Wall Street 50, was a 2022 Irish America Business 100 Honoree, and awarded the 2022 CIO and IT Leader of the Year award for the Private Sector. Harry graduated from Trinity College Dublin with degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering.

Dr. Renu Bhatia

Renu is an accomplished senior executive with over 25 years of experience in the finance, fintech and health care sectors. She is currently the Chairman of the Listing Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Chairman and Co-Founder of Opharmic Technology. She has also served on a number of boards/advisory groups including the Board of Review of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Ordinance, the Hong Kong Enterprise Support Scheme Assessment Panel of the Innovation and Technology Fund, the Hong Kong Baptist University Business School and the Cyberport Entrepreneurship Centre Advisory Group. She started her career in finance at Goldman Sachs and HSBC Asset Management and was a leader in the finch space in Hong Kong having Co-Founded Asia Fintech Angels and as a Founding Partner of Supercharger, a dedicated finch accelerator. She is a licensed physician and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Yale University, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of London.
